About
Martin has been performing and teaching for over 40 years. He has sung Opera, Musical Theatre, Rock, Irish Folk, Jazz and Soul. Martin holds a Bachelors of Music from CSU Sacramento and a Masters in Vocal Performance from USC.
He has taught Music from elementary through College level. He has performed onstage with such luminaries as Rosemary Clooney and Earth, Wind and Fire and worked professionally onstage with Institutions including Music Circus, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, the Stockton Opera, the Monterey Opera, TheatreWorks in Mountain View, the Piedmont Children's Choir, and Foothill College in Los Altos Hills where he also directed the Jazz Choir.
Martin has three albums out as a singer, "Martin Beal with A Touch of Brass", "My Irish Eyes" and his most recent album of uplifting Jazz standards called "Smile". The Grammy association recently recognized him for his song "On A Clear Day" from "Smile".

He currently teaches music and performs with HipNosis Band, On Air Band, Bandy About (Irish Music, where he sings and plays guitar) and plays sax with a Sax quartet and in bands around Sacramento.
Martin is also a woodturner and amateur luthier.
